What is a good 60-130 time?
Under 6 seconds is supercar territory. 6-8 seconds is genuinely fast street — Hellcats, GT500s, M5s. 8-11 seconds covers most sports cars and hot hatches. Over 11 seconds is ordinary daily-driver pace. Because a 60-130 has no launch in it, it reflects power-to-weight far more honestly than a 0-60 does.

How to read your own number
- Under 6 s — supercar. Serious power-to-weight, usually 600 hp+ or a very light car.
- 6-8 s — fast street. Modern muscle, big-power German saloons, heavily built cars.
- 8-11 s — sporty street. Mid-range sports cars, warm saloons, quick hot hatches.
- Over 11 s — daily. Perfectly normal for an ordinary car; most traffic is far slower still.
Why 60-130 is the honest power test
A 0-60 is mostly a traction and technique test. The engine can usually make more power than the tyres can put down, so launch quality, gearing and surface dominate — which is why two identical cars can differ by half a second in the hands of different drivers.
Start at 60 mph and that ceiling disappears. The tyres are no longer the constraint; the car is fighting aerodynamic drag, which climbs steeply with speed. What is left is close to a direct measurement of power against weight — which is exactly why roll racers and tuners use it to judge whether a modification actually did anything.

Comparing your time to anyone else's
One caution: a 60-130 is unusually sensitive to air. Because so much of the work at those speeds goes into shoving air out of the way, the same car can post noticeably different times on a cold morning and a hot afternoon. Comparing raw numbers across days, altitudes or seasons is comparing weather as much as cars.
