AsyncRacing is a drag-racing game built on real acceleration telemetry. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

Account identity. When you sign in with Apple, we store the identifier Apple provides and the handle you choose. If you play without signing in, we create an anonymous account identifier so your local progress can sync if you later sign in. We do not request your name or email from Apple.

Location — only inside a sanctioned strip. When you record a run, the app reads your precise location to confirm you are inside a recognized drag strip. Public-road runs are never captured or scored. Location is used to verify the venue and to correct your run for local conditions; it is not used for advertising or tracking, and we do not build a location history.

Motion & run telemetry. During a recording, the app reads the accelerometer and GPS speed to measure your launch and run. The resulting run is stored on your device and, if you have signed in and choose to post, on our servers so it can appear on leaderboards.

Gameplay data. Race results, reaction times, and leaderboard standings you post.

Bluetooth is used only if you connect an optional external GPS meter; it is never used to collect data in the background.

How we use it

Everything above is used to run the game: to build your car's performance profile, correct runs to a standard atmosphere, match you fairly by class, and show leaderboards. Practice-tier telemetry is for feel — it is clearly labeled UNVERIFIED and is not a ranked measurement.

What we do not do

Your choices and rights

Play without an account. You can play the full game locally without signing in. Posting to a public leaderboard requires Sign in with Apple.

Delete your account and data. In Settings → Delete Account, you can permanently delete your account and all associated server data (your runs, cars, and leaderboard standings), along with everything stored on your device. This is immediate and cannot be undone.

Permissions. You can revoke location, motion, or Bluetooth access at any time in the iOS Settings app; the app will simply be unable to record new runs.

Data storage

Server data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase). Local data lives on your device. We retain your data until you delete your account.

Children

AsyncRacing is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
